Attorney Michael Haggard Serves as Guest Speaker at FJA Seminar

Coral Gables, FL (February 26, 2009) – Michael A. Haggard, partner of The Haggard Law Firm was a featured guest speaker at the Florida Justice Association's Jury Selection Seminar that took place at the Hilton at The Walt Disney World Resort. Haggard addressed trial lawyers from across Florida on "Handling, Litigating and Trying the Negligent Security Case."

Haggard, a resident of Coral Gables, practices law in the field of Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, Liquor Liability, and Negligent Security. Orlando Negligent Security Case Settles for $1.9 Million

Coral Gables, FL (February 25, 2009) – Attorneys Michael A. Haggard and Douglas J. McCarron successfully settled a negligent security case for $1.9 million. 27-year-old Jose Medina Navarro was murdered by two gunmen that broke into his apartment in an attempted robbery in Orlando. The company in charge of the building failed to provide adequate security for its tenants providing no security, broken street lamps and a front gate that never closed.

$5.3 Million Settlement in Negligent Security Case

Coral Gables, FL (February 17, 2009) – Attorneys Michael A. Haggard and Douglas J. McCarron have settled a negligent security case for $5.3 million. Details of the case settlement are confidential. The plaintiff was murdered by a gunman who stole a necklace without resistance at an apartment complex in Orlando. The companies in charge of the building failed to provide adequate security even though the area is known for being high in crime.
