Christopher Marlowe Featured at Southern Trial Lawyers Association Conference

 

New Orleans, LA - February 17, 2012 - Associate Christopher Marlowe was a featured speaker at the Southern Trial Lawyers Association annual Mardi Gras Conference.  Taking place in New Orleans, Marlowe spoke on two personal injury topics, "Investigating Premises Liability Cases" and "Slicing and Dicing the Negligent Security Expert." Each speaker at the conference was given 10 minutes to present on each topic.

The essential mission of the Southern Trial Lawyers Association is as simple as it is straightforward: To promote fellowship, learning, and networking among trial lawyers throughout the 13 southern states.

Marlowe joined The Haggard Law Firm in 2008 and handles a wide array of firm cases including those involving negligent security, pool drowning, auto accident, wrongful death and other personal injury cases.

Todd Michaels Appointed to NBLSA Advisory Board

 

Washington, DC - November 21, 2011 - Attorney Todd Michaels has been appointed to the 2012 National Black Law Student Association (NBLSA) Advisory Board in the areas of advocacy and finance. 

The National Black Law Students Association (NBLSA) is a 501(c)(3) corporation and the nation's largest student-run organization representing nearly 6,000 minority law students from over 200 chapters and affiliates throughout the United States and six other countries.

Haggard Law Firm Settles Case Against Miami-Dade School Board

Coral Gables, FL - November 18, 2011 - The Haggard Law Firm announced Friday that it has successfully settled its case agaisnt the Miami-Dade County School Board.  Attorneys Michael Haggard and Todd Michaels negotiated the $1.875 million settlement on behalf of the family of Juan Carlos Rivera.  The case has been highly publicized as Rivera was stabbed and killed during a fight at Coral Gables Senior High School.

Todd Michaels Featured as Panelist at Business of Politics Event

 

Miami, FL - October 20, 2011 - Attorney Todd Michaels recently participated in a panel discussion at the Business of Politics Event sponsored by the Young Professionals Network of Miami.  The event took place the law firm of Carlton Fields with discussions centered around "understanding your world of politics."

The Young Professionals Network of Miami is an initiative of the Miami Dade County Chamber of Commerce.  With the upcoming elections, the organization feels it is imperative to inform the public about the electoral process and voting rights.

Michael Haggard Speaks at STLA Fall Retreat

Key West, FL - October 14, 2011 - Recently, partner Michael Haggard spoke at the Southern Trial Lawyers Association (STLA) annual Fall Retreat.  This year the retreat was held in beautiful Key West.  While mixing work and play, Haggard addressed a group of attorneys on the topic "Slicing and Dicing the Defense Expert at Deposition and Trial."

Haggard concentrates his trial practice in personal injury litigation specializing in pool drownings, premises liability, negligent security, wrongful death and medical malpractice. Recently, Michael Haggard served as the 50th President of the Florida Justice Association. Haggard’s other achievements include serving as past president of the Miami-Dade Justice Association as well as serving as a member of the American Association for Justice (Inadequate Security Section) and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Haggard earned his bachelors degree from Florida State University and his law degree from the University of Miami.
