Governor Charlie Crist Appoints William Andrew “Andy” Haggard to Serve on the Florida State University Board of Trustees

Governor Charlie Crist recently announced the appointment of attorney William Andrew “Andy” Haggard to once again serve as a member of the Florida State University Board of Trustees. Haggard, who is also a member of the Orange Bowl Committee, is managing partner of The Haggard Law Firm, P.A.

Haggard was previously on the FSU Board of Trustees from 2002 to 2005, where he served as vice-chairman from 2004 to 2005. Haggard will now serve on the Board of Trustees for a term ending in January 2010.

As a member of the FSU Board of Trustees, Haggard will work with other trustees to improve the academic excellence of Florida State University. Haggard will assist in setting policy and authority for efficient and effective use of university resources and developing a strategic plan for the institution.

Haggard, whom is an alumnus of Florida State University, has demonstrated his dedication to Florida State University in the past and present by serving as chairman of FSU's College of Arts and Sciences Leadership Council and serving as a trustee on the FSU Foundation
